habe ich in letzter Zeit ja auch mal wieder (was mich mit schlechtem Gewissen an meine andere Schulz-Decke denken lässt, ein Langzeit-UFO). So sah das Tuch nach dem Urlaub aus, nachdem der erste Strang verstrickt war:
Bin noch nicht viel weiter, denn Tuch im Schoß macht sich bei den Temperaturen eher nicht so gut.
Dafür habe ich den idealen Sommerstrick angefangen. Ein Paar Handschuhe aus Baumwollgarn, die eher funktionslos sein sollen, eben nur stylish. Töchterchen hatte die Idee, Mama strickt (und flucht – selberringeln bin ich kaum gewohnt, das störrische Garn, die immer wieder rausflutschenen Nadeln…).
On the photo you see my Sonnenuntergang (Sunset) -Shawl made from handspun yarn. The yarn is spun from Louet Northern Lights in Pastels, and then Navajo-plied. This is 24 wpi yarn, and length is 500 – 550 m per 100 g. I love this modular knit very much, much more than my other modular knit, which is in hybernation.
The photo was taken after our vacation, but there has been not much progress since then. Whether too hot for a wolly something in my lap!
Then I started a pair of summery mitts. They are for my daughter and purely ornamental. Made from a Cotton-Rayon mix they make good summer knitting, although they really made me use bad words (I’m not used to make stripes, the yarn is stubborn, the needles slip out of the stitches…). Slowly I’m making some progress.
